Really? Should you buy a discount diamond ring? Should you buy a discount pacemaker? Maybe you should buy a discount car safety child seat for your baby? Catch my drift?
You Get What You Pay For
How many times have you heard that? If you answered yes to any of the questions above then you’re probably OK with any old discount lawyer and you more likely than not deserve the kind of representation that you will receive from them. Saving money is important, particularly if you don’t have much. There are lawyers that work on a type of contingency basis; if you don’t win they don’t get paid. That works for me all day. Discount lawyers that work out of a little closet in a corner of their house are probably not the best in court but, hey, you’ll save tons of money (right up until you get sued).
Discount Lawyers
Now I’m not saying that every lawyer that professes to be affordable is a crummy lawyer. I never said that. I am saying however that you have to watch out, do your homework, talk to people and get some kind of reviews on this lawyer’s record and client satisfaction. With the Internet it’s almost too easy to find out about almost any one; particularly someone in business. A lawyer is nothing more than a business person so they should have records and all sorts of other information floating around the Internet on which you can check. As mentioned earlier, some lawyers say that unless they win your case, they won’t make a cent. Discount lawyers are kind of like discount anything else; some are good some are less than good. And some are even less than that.
Any time you save money on something you have to wonder why it is you are able to save money on this particular purchase or service. I prefer the word affordable to cheap or discount. It’s probably best to look for an Arlington attorney that offers superior service at an affordable rate rather than a discount lawyer you know nothing about.
